In today’s world where lives are so busy and food habits are becoming unhealthy with each growing day an organization which promotes and indulges in making organic food has become a necessity. This is the reason we chose paushtik life for our internship. Their philosophy is very evident in their tagline “heal self and heal the world” calls deeply to us making this internship not just a place where we learn but also helps us prepare ourselves for future challenges.

Paushtik Life makes all efforts to offer pure, healthy, and wholesome food products to consumers. It is working within the fields of crop production, processing, product development and marketing of organic products. Their products strictly go through organic practice, such as grains, flours, cereals, dry fruits, and various processed products which include pickles, jam, juices, and bakery items.
Social responsibility and sustainable livelihood
It is a social initiative located in Kolkata, West Bengal, which focused on organic and natural food through sustainable livelihoods. They are involved in processing, product development, and marketing of organic products; the products do not contain any harmful pesticides and chemical fertilizers, promoting soil health. The number of women versus the number of male workers in the organization is 60:40, which is an excellent move in the correct direction. A lot of first-generation learners here, so skill learns, makes financially independent and, in turn, is able to help out his or her family. The workers here are treated like family and no distinction is made between male and female workers which really promotes gender equality.
Lifting the marginalized:
By working together with farmers, disabled people, cooperatives, and producer organizations Paushtik Life provides different livelihood opportunities that are sustainable in nature, as small scale farmers have limited opportunities, through this organization that limitation is filled and empowered. This ensures fair remuneration and stable income for farmers, empowering them economically.
Promotion of local crops and biodiversity:

By promoting indigenous crops paushtik life helps people stay rooted to their culture and in order saves the crops from getting extinct.
